Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. The College has held this world-leading place in Performing Arts for the three successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the rankings this year.
The RCM is looking to appoint a Programming Manager to join its active Performance and Programming department. The Programming Manager is responsible for programming and running small scale and chamber music performance activity at the RCM. This includes scheduling rehearsals, placing student performers, and programming regular concert series and high-profile RCM chamber concerts and festivals.
The successful applicant will be joining a highly creative team in an exciting working environment, and will work closely with students, professors and visiting artists. Chamber Music is an integral part of college life and students perform at the College and at other renowned venues including the Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in working in a classical music environment and an excellent knowledge of small scale and chamber music. The role requires an ability to work proactively, flexibly and creatively on a variety of different tasks and we are looking for someone with a high level of interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
This post is offered on a permanent part-time 0.6FTE), basis and is immediately available.
