World-leading musical excellence fusing heritage & innovation
Hear extraordinary talent and support the future of music with the Royal College of Music’s events programme.
Our Autumn Season weaves various threads through the term, including the music of RCM alumnus Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and his daughter Avril, and music from 20th-century France.
Watch our talented students share the stage with world-class musicians Sir James MacMillan, Sofi Jeannin, Alisa Weilerstein and many more, and enjoy a huge variety of musical experiences including our Woodwind and Brass festival, innovative compositions inspired by Wildlife Photographer of the Year, and Janáček’s enchanting opera The Cunning Little Vixen.
Why not visit our Museum, too? Hear the story behind one of music’s most famous acoustic guitars in rock history – Kurt Cobain’s Martin D-18E - in a unique exhibition exploring Nirvana’s groundbreaking MTV Unplugged performance (running until 18 November).
Families and young people can join in by experiencing the thrill of workshops and performances run by the RCM Museum and RCM Sparks, our learning and participation programme.
Advanced notice of closure
The Royal College of Music will be closed for maintenance on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 August and will reopen to the public on Friday 22 August, as usual. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
