Following the appointment of Audrey Hyland as Head of Vocal & Opera, The Royal College of Music is seeking to engage a distinguished Deputy Head of Vocal & Opera. This role will work alongside the Director of Opera and newly created Assistant Head of Vocal & Opera position (to be advertised in the coming weeks) to foster the highest standards of teaching and learning within the Faculty and the wider College. We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
• A widely recognised and respected performer with experience at the highest levels.
• A track record of success teaching voice at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
• A global perspective and significant international contacts.
• An understanding of the particular demands of the music profession whilst striving to help each student reach the fullness of their own potential.
• Experience of working as part of a team, managing a busy administrative workload.
