Announcing August's performances in the RCM's online concert series

Join us online for the final month of our digital performance programme. The series, which commenced in April 2020, was specially curated by our Artistic Director Stephen Johns and has brought over 40 classic Royal College of Music performances to the screen so far!
Over the last five months, our online concert series has showcased the wide variety of music-making at the RCM, including orchestral, vocal and chamber music. For our final programme, we’re offering three Premiere broadcasts and a new on demand performance every weekday, keeping you thoroughly entertained during the summer months!

Join us for all the excitement of a live stream with our very best archive performances broadcast as YouTube Premieres and Facebook Premieres. There will be live chat and audiences watching simultaneously all over the world. If you can't make it for the premiere event you can catch-up in your own time; all videos will be available to watch on-demand afterwards.

Professor Ashley Solomon conducts JS Bach’s Ascension Oratorio
The RCM Baroque Orchestra and Choir performs Bach’s expansive choral work, under the baton of RCM Chair and Head of Historical Performance, Professor Ashley Solomon.

RCM Opera Studio presents The Marriage of Figaro
Mozart’s beloved opera The Marriage of Figaro is performed on the Britten Theatre stage by talented students of the RCM Opera Studio and Opera Orchestra, directed by RCM alumnus and Artist in Residence, Sir Thomas Allen.

These are unprecedented times for the RCM and its students. Many of our young musicians rely on gigs, teaching, performances and other work to cover their living costs and student fees. As a result of Covid-19, most of this work has been cancelled. We are asking our community to support our Covid-19 Hardship Fund to help those RCM students facing significant financial hardship.
