Join us this spring!

This season, many inspiring festivals, concerts, talks, competitions and masterclasses take place here at the Royal College of Music and across London.

Chamber collectives

Two collaborations take centre stage this season: Douglas Boyd directs the RCM Chamber Orchestra in a concert featuring Strauss’ witty suite Le bourgeois gentilhomme, and our annual side-by-side with musicians from the Chamber Orchestra of Europe features works by Farrenc and Beethoven.

Festivals: The Sound of Music

Chamber music celebrations continue with our annual festival, in which Wayne Marshall joins us for a sparkling showcase of beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein classics. Join us in celebrating a milestone event honouring two decades of the RCM Keyboard Festival, and you can even take to the podium yourself at the College’s Festival of Conducting

Orchestral firsts

Three internationally renowned conductors make their debuts at the RCM: Lawrence Renes conducts works by John Adams and Bruckner; Anna-Maria Helsing directs music by Ravel and Brahms; and Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser leads Disco Inferno, an electrifying concert of disco and soul music reimagined for orchestra.

Behind the scenes

Take a fascinating glimpse into the process behind the performance with our extensive range of masterclasses led by Sir Stephen Hough, Edith Wiens, Stefan Dohr, Francesa Dego, and many more award-winning artists.

Jazz, opera and more

Trumpeter and vocalist Georgina Jackson directs the RCM Jazz Orchestra in a programme featuring the legendary Quincy Jones, and opera fans are spoilt for choice with Mozart’s La finta giardiniera as well as a concert performance of Handel’s Acis and Galatea.

Explore South Kensington

There is so much on offer within London’s cultural quarter, so make the most of your time in South Kensington. An afternoon tea just around the corner at The Gore London hotel is the perfect addition to your visit, where you’ll receive a complimentary ticket to a concert at the RCM.
