For Doctoral students, this information will be included in your offer letter.

Competition for places has been very strong this year and we already have several very talented applicants on our reserve list. If you haven’t accepted your offer by the deadline you run the risk of losing your place. If you think that you will not be able to meet the deadline for accepting our offer please contact our Admissions team and we will assist you.

How to accept your offer

You should accept your offer electronically through UCAS Conservatoires before the relevant deadline. You will need to click on the RCM choice to view. When you have accepted your offer, you will normally see a status indicating that the RCM is waiting for you to send evidence to show that you meet the offer conditions. This is normally evidence of your qualifications, English language evidence or information to confirm any other offer conditions. Once you have provided this, your offer status will become 'Guaranteed Unconditional'.

If one of your conditions of study relates to English language, you must show us that you have the required level of English. You will need to send us your IELTS certificate (or accepted equivalent) by 1 May 2026. It is important that you make arrangements early enough.

In accepting your offer of a place, you also agree to the Royal College of Music’s terms and conditions.

It is your responsibility to ensure you understand our terms and conditions. In particular, you should familiarise yourself with the various sanctions the RCM may use in case of misconduct (academic and personal).

How to accept your offer

You should accept your offer electronically through UCAS Conservatoires before the deadline shown in UCAS Conservatoires. You will need to click on the RCM choice to view and accept. At this point your offer will have “Guaranteed Conditional” status. This means it is guaranteed provided you meet the stated academic or other offer conditions by the relevant deadline(s).

Check your offer conditions carefully and make sure you understand the evidence you need to provide and the submission deadlines. Standard offer conditions may include evidence of the academic qualifications required for entry to the course and sometimes a sample of academic writing. International students will be asked to provide evidence of English language ability and sometimes of UK residence status where applicable. Please email your documentation to the Admissions team as soon as you have it available; don’t wait for the deadline.  If you think you may have difficulty meeting a condition, for example if you do not expect to achieve the required entry qualification(s) in time to enrol in September, please contact the Admissions team as soon as possible to discuss.

Once you have evidence that you have met all your offer conditions, your offer status will be made 'Guaranteed Unconditional'.

In accepting your offer of a place, you also agree to the Royal College of Music’s terms and conditions.
