Students and alumni from the Royal College of Music (RCM) continue to shape the classical music world, with several earning a place in Classic FM’s 30 under 30 list which celebrates musicians who are transforming the industry.
The 2025 list includes current RCM student Amiri Harewood who is rapidly establishing himself as a remarkable pianist. Having been awarded the Grand Prize at the Young Classical Artist Trust and Concert Artists Guild International Auditions 2024, he is gaining international recognition, with performances at venues including the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and Venice Conservatorio.
Among the Royal College of Music graduates recognised is Nicolò Foron who secured his current role as Assistant Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra after winning the LSO Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in 2023, less than two years after graduating. Also featured is soprano Ava Dodd, a Harewood Artist at the English National Opera and Associate Artist for The Mozartists, who won the 2023 Yves Paternot Prize from the Verbier Festival Academy, recognising her as the Academy’s most accomplished and promising musician.

She has collaborated with artists including the Pet Shop Boys, Shirley Bassey and Pulp, who she regularly tours with. Meanwhile, fellow violinist Rebeca Nuez became the first Spanish classical musician to be distributed by Vevo in 2019 and has since produced several videos featuring classical music, with her latest Orfeo ed Euridice garnering millions of views in just a few weeks.
Also earning a place on Classic FM’s 30 under 30 list is violist Jaren Ziegler who studied in the RCM Junior Department. A member of the renowned international string ensemble LGT Young Soloists, he won the BBC Young Musician Strings Final in 2022 at aged 16.
