Brazilian bassoonist Fábio Cury shares his insights on the process behind the performance with musicians from the RCM Woodwind Faculty.
Fábio was principal bassoonist with the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra and the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, and is currently a professor at the University of São Paulo (USP) and associate professor and director of the USP Symphony Orchestra. He has also played in the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of São Paulo and in the Camerata Aberta, and frequently performs as a soloist with the most prestigious orchestras and chamber music groups.
As a soloist, chamber musician and lecturer, he has performed and taught at all major Brazilian music festivals, and outside Brazil is dedicated to promoting Brazilian repertoire.
