The Royal College of Music is delighted to welcome Stanislau Anishchanka, the highly respected Belarus-born double bassist, to lead a masterclass.
Stanislau studied cello in Minsk before turning to the double bass, later honing his craft under Dorin Marc in Nuremberg. He has won significant prizes on the international stage, including second prize at the ARD Music Competition in 2009, and since then, has served as Principal Double bass with the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne.
Stanislau is also dedicated to pedagogy: he holds a professorship at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and regularly teaches masterclasses for youth orchestras in Germany.
