Electrofolk musician and producer Frankie Archer brings an innovative sound and fresh perspective to ancient tales.
In this talk, she explores her influences and the inspiration she draws from centuries-old stories, and how she transforms them into experimental alt-folk tracks. The session also includes an interactive live set-up with opportunities for audience participation.
Frankie Archer has taken the scene by storm. Self-taught in production and synths, and a fiddle student of countless pub sessions, Frankie’s sonic world is different from anything else, drawing influence from Bjork to Benny Graham, Underworld to The Unthanks. ‘The Dance of Death’ will be Frankie’s debut album (June 2026), co-produced with Guy Massey (Kylie Minogue, Spiritualized) and Fran O’Hanlon. The album unravels beliefs and traditions around death, encompassing grief, tragedy and superstition alongside love and moments of joy.
