Una Cho
Eun made her concerto debut with the Seoul Philharmonic at the age of 13 and picked up numerous national and international competition prizes before completing her Masters at the Royal College of Music in London. Her emerging presence on the international concert stage drew the attention of the world-renowned cellist and student of Mstislav Rostropovich, Natalia Gutman, who took Eun under her wing and mentored her closely for 7 years at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Florence and Konservatorium Wien.
Eun has performed in numerous venues around London including the Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Opera House, Cadogan Hall, Southbank Centre, Kings Place and St. James’ Piccadilly as well as other esteemed venues in England, Italy, Germany, Austria, and South Korea. Appearances as a concerto soloist include performances with the Serbia Radio & TV Orchestra, French Chamber Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic, Daegu Philharmonic, Seoul Symphony & Sejong Philharmonic.
Eun is co-director of Cello Project Korea, a collective of Korean cello soloists, which formed in 2015 and regularly sells out concerts at Seoul Arts Center in Seoul and other performing arts centres in South Korea.
Alongside her performances, Eun now maintains two successful cello classes of her own, specialising in the development of talented school-age musicians with principal teaching posts at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and Yehudi Menuhin School.
