British Clarinetist Anton Clarke-Butler is a graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, having achieved an honours degree in music performance followed by a Masters with Distinction. 

Since graduating, he has performed and toured with a number of UK professional ensembles such as BBC National Orchestra of Wales, English Touring Opera, Ulster Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia and regularly at the Proms with Chineke! Orchestra. He has also performed chamber works with the London Symphony Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Anton has performed in many contemporary music projects, for the BBC Radio 3 New Music Show and the Beijing Modern Music Festival.

A keen educator, Anton holds the position of Head of Woodwind at Warwick School and is a Clarinet Tutor at the Junior Royal College of Music in London. Previously, he held the post of Deputy Programme Director at Nucleo, a ‘music for social action’ programme in London that provides children and young people with orchestral and instrumental lessons free of charge. 

Further education and outreach work has included tutoring for the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain, Sistema England Young Leaders, Sistema European Youth Orchestra, Orchestras for All and the Royal Academy of Music outreach programme.

In his desire to reach as wide an audience as possible with his playing, Anton has performed and toured across the UK and Europe with artists such as Steve Hackett and Zep Boys. Other highlights have included orchestral performances with Stormzy at the 2023 Brit Awards.
