Hannah Morgan

Musicianship teacher

Hannah Morgan has gained recognition as an educator and oboist. Following her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, she spent two years performing with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as a member of the Karajan Academy. Directing concerts for the orchestra's education department inspired her to pursue an MEd at Cambridge University, where she won an award for her research into students' confidence in secondary music education.

Currently Head of Music at Beaumont School in St Albans, she leads a strong team who share her ambition to make music accessible to young people from all backgrounds. Hannah has led teacher training for other schools and spoken at conferences to share her inclusive approach. She has tutored woodwind players at the National Youth Concert Band and, previously, the National Youth Wind Ensemble. Hannah has also worked at the Purcell School as an oboe reed-making teacher and deputy oboe teacher.
