Fast-track and full-time MSc term concludes 30 September 2027.

Autumn Term (14 September - 11 December 2026)

Week 1 (14-18 Sep) - Induction Week ( no core or elective classes)

Week 2-6 (21 Sep - 23 Oct) - Teaching Weeks

Week 7 (24-30 Oct) - Performance Project and 1-to-1 Teaching Week (no core or elective classes).

Week 8-9 (2-13 Nov) - Teaching Weeks

Week 10-11( 16-27 Nov) - Teaching Weeks alongside some auditions

Week 12-13 ( 30 Nov - 11 Dec) - Auditions (no core or elective classes, Performance Projects will be scheduled alongside 1-to-1 teaching)

Spring Term (11 January - 19 march 2027)

Week 1-5 (11 Jan-12 Feb) - Teaching Weeks

Week 6 (15-19 Feb) - Performance Project and 1-to-1 Teaching Week (no core or elective classes).

Week 7-9 (22 Feb-12 Mar) - Teaching Weeks

Week 10 (15-19 Mar) - Spring Term Practical Exams - BMus Year 3 and Postgraduate Percussion Recitals, JPS 
Final Recitals [one of the two if requested]; BMus Year 4 Percussion Technical/Orchestral Excerpts Exams, Principal Study Technical Exams [except BMus Year 3 Percussion] & Mock Auditions, L5/6/7 Chamber Music & Chamber Project, L5/6/7 Interpretation of Song, L7 Song Pianist, L7 Repetiteur Skills, L7 Song Class assessments.

26 - 29 Mar - Easter weekend

Summer Term ( 12 April - 9 July 2027)

Week 1-5 (11 Apr-14 May) - Teaching Weeks

Week 6 (17-21 May) - Examination Week (BMus Improvisation, Theory & Analysis and Aural exams; L7 Orchestral Musician and Orchestral Performance assessments).  Core and elective teaching ends by Friday 21 May.

Week 7-10 (24 May-18 Jun) - Summer Term Practical Exams (24* May to 18 June including Sundays and *Bank 
Holiday Monday 24* May) – All Final and End-of-Year Recitals, all remaining Percussion Recitals, Composition and Composition for Screen portfolio interviews/viva voce, Technical/Orchestral Excerpts exams not previously scheduled, BMus Year 1 and 2 Repertoire Exams, Second Study, Related Study, L5 Improvisation, L7 Improvisation, L5/6 Guitar and Organ Improvisation, L5/6 Collaborative Piano, L5/6 Guitar or Organ Accompaniment assessments.

Week 11-12 (21 Jun-2 Jul) - Performance Project and 1-to-1 Teaching Week (no core or elective classes).

Week 13 (5-9 Jul) - Graduation Days 8 and 9 July; Performance Project and 1-to-1 Teaching Week.

31 Aug - 7 Sept - September Practical Assessment Period -All reassessments and any deferred assessments not yet completed; L7 Fast-track recitals; L7 Fast-track Composition and Composition for Screen portfolio interviews/viva voce; L7 Fast-track Research Project Lecture Recitals.
